About JRM Lab and Jesús Rojo Martínez
Who am I?
I’m Jesús Rojo Martínez, a Product Builder based in Belgium with 18 years of experience in tech, spanning Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager and Project Manager roles across ecommerce, fraud prevention, digital strategy and AI-powered products.
What I do
My work sits at the intersection of:
- Product & AI — designing products that use LLMs and generative AI in ways that actually solve user problems, not just demo well.
- Strategy & execution — bridging the gap between what needs to happen and what gets shipped.
I believe professionals (even non-developers) who truly understand the technology they work with tend to make better decisions. That’s why I like to get hands-on with the tools: prototyping with AI assistants, writing data pipelines in n8n, structuring databases in Supabase and shipping static sites with Astro as my side projects.
What this site is
JRM Lab is where I share what I’m building and what I’m learning. The Work section documents products and projects with their full context — the problem, the approach, the tools, the outcome. The Articles section is for frameworks, reflections and lessons from the trenches.
If you want a taste of what this site is about, take a look at my thought and decision process precisely on how I built JRM Lab (so meta!).
Background
My career began as a Product/Business Analyst, leaning on my analytical skills to solve problems. From there, I moved into Product Owner and Product Manager roles, often taking execution under my wing as Project Manager too. Most recently, digital strategy has become the explicit focus: a thread that ran through my work all along, now front and center. Along the way, I’ve led cross-functional teams, managed international product launches, and navigated the kind of organizational complexity that teaches you more about prioritization than any framework ever will.
I’m Spanish, settled in Belgium since 2013 after having lived in Sweden (to finish my studies) and France (for my first job). I work in English, French and Spanish, and I am trying my best with Dutch (all of which come in handy in an international city like Brussels).
I live with my Dutch partner and our 2 children.
